Jo Co Comm to Consider Lifting Hiring Freeze for Departments

The Johnson County Commission, during their regular meeting today (Tuesday) will consider lifting the county’s hiring freeze for the facilities department and the treasurer’s office to hire new employees.
Also on the agenda is a discussion on a grant for body-worn cameras for the sheriff’s department and Homeland Security grants.
The commission will consider an agreement with the US Forest Service for parking on Hazelton Road, a contract approval for accounting services, approve the 2024 Holiday Schedule, and discuss the Kaycee Library project.
District Court Judge Ben Kirven is also scheduled to give an update to the commission on Wyoming’s Fourth Judicial District Court.
Finally the commission will convene the Board of Equalization as well during the meeting.
