JCSD1 Closes Schools Due to Coronavirus Concerns

Johnson County schools will be closed from Monday, March 16^th through Thursday, March 19^th, according to school board member Marcy Schueler.

The district had originally planned to stay open but district Superintendent Jim Wagner made the decision late Sunday night to close schools district-wide.

Earlier Sunday, Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jillian Balow recommended that all school districts in the state close until at least April 3^rd, leaving the decision to close up to the individual districts in the state.

All Johnson County Schools will be closed this week until Thursday, when a reevaluation of the situation is expected on whether or not the district’s schools will remain closed and for how long.
