Aaron PalmerEnrollment at Johnson County schools is up slightly at the beginning of the 2023-24 school year over the final numbers at the end of the school year in June of this year.
That is according to a report given to the school board at their last regular meeting this month.
The report gave the total enrollment for all grades in the district as of August 23 as 1,204 students, an increase of 29 over the end of the last school year when it sat at 1,175 students.
The number of students at each school, according to the report, is 246 enrolled at Meadowlark Elementary; 258 at Clear Creek Middle School; 224 at Cloud Peak Elementary; 343 at Buffalo High School; 35 at New West Alternative; and 98 in Kaycee K-12 School.
Losses in enrollment over the summer were recorded at Clear Creek with 7; Cloud Peak with 9; and Kaycee with 11.
