‘Right Road’ Coming to BHS Next Week

Next week roughly 135 sophomores from Buffalo High School, Kaycee School, Arvada-Clearmont School, and Tongue River High School will be participating in an event at BHS designed to help them make better life choices during their formative years.
Lisa Norman and Kate Harness are co-coordinators of “The Right Road.”
Norman tells us more about the event and its purpose.
Harness said the focus is not just alcohol or drugs but internet safety, sexting, sextortion, pornography, seat belt safety, mental health/suicide issues, among others.
They also hear from first-responders who deal with the effects of these types of choices made by young people every day.
Harness explained the goal of the program.
Harness said the community needs to be aware of the event so they understand it is not a real emergency at the high school.
The event will be happening Tuesday, September 26 at Buffalo High School, and the public is reminded it is a mock trauma event.
