Ron RichterThe Sheridan City Council recently approved a resolution authorizing the submission of a Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) loan application in the amount of $7.8 million for upgrades to the Sheridan Wastewater Treatment Plant. City Assistant Utilities Director Jacob Martineau said the loan they are applying for is over a 30-year term and the City is requesting zero percent interest and principal forgiveness.
According to a memo from the City of Sheridan, The State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) recently adopted new rules for the State Revolving Fund Loan Programs (SRF) which offer very favorable funding opportunities in the form of very low interest loans coupled with principal forgiveness. Martineau said now is the most opportune time to request funding through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund Loan Program (CWSRF) to address the City’s top priority improvement needs for the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
