Buffalo Council Makes KBJ JPB Appointment

At their last regular meeting, the Buffalo City Council approved Mayor Shane Schrader’s recommendation to appoint Zac Smith to a 3-year term on the Kaycee-Buffalo-Johnson County Economic Development Joint Powers Board.
According to the JOCO First website, the Kaycee-Buffalo-Johnson County Economic Development Joint Powers Board was created in 1994 as the economic development entity for the participating agencies to foster collaboration in the recruitment, due-diligence, facilitation, placement, construction and operation of facilities which further the economic and community development of Johnson County.
Other board members are Chair Shann Edwards; Vice-Chair Tom Knapp; Treasurer Rick Myers; John DeMatteis; Josh Keegan; Mary Plank; and liaisons Johnson County Commissioner Bill Novotny; Mayor of Kaycee Barry Gehrig; and Buffalo Mayor Shane Schrader.
