Beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, the Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site is inviting the public to sit around the campfire and learn about the Crow tribe’s relationship with the Medicine Wheel, Fort Phil Kearny and the Bighorn Mountains.

The public will learn about the history of the Crow tribe from American Indian Student Interpretive Ranger, Jacob Brien, a member of the Crow tribe who recently spent four weeks educating the public at the Medicine Wheel/ Medicine Mountain National Historic Landmark.

Brien recently appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to talk about his continuing education to help preserve the language and traditions of the Crow tribe. Brien informed listeners that the history of the Crow tribe within the region goes much farther back than many realize.

The public is invited to join Brien and learn more about the region from the perspective of the people who called the area home for 800 years.
