Sheridan Commission Makes Board Appointments

At their regular meeting this week the Sheridan County Commission approved a number of appointments to various county boards.
There were two openings on the Sheridan County Historic Preservation Commission Board.
The commission approved the re-appointments of Christine Varah and Katie Curtiss to three-year terms beginning July 1 and running through June 30 of 2026.
According to the county website, the Sheridan County Historic Preservation Commission enhances and protects Sheridan County’s cultural heritage and preserves the natural environments by partnering with citizens, agencies and organizations to identify, evaluate, protect, educate and encourage stewardship of the county’s cultural resources, while adhering to local, state and federal regulations and policies. It is one of over 1,000 Certified Local Governments nationwide working to enhance local preservation efforts.
Members of the commission are Kathleen Fay, Kristin Campbell, Christine Varah, Katie Curtiss, Ken Heuermann, Christina Haworth, and Carrie Edinger.
