News ReleaseThe Burgess Visitors Center opened for the Summer 2023 season on Saturday, May 27th, 2023.
The Bighorn National Forest has partnered with Sheridan County Travel and Tourism, who will be operating the visitors center for this season.
The visitors center will be open Monday through Saturday; 8:00am – 4:00pm.
They will be providing travel resources, to include maps, guides, brochures and local insight on attractions, accommodations, activities and more.
Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.
Merchandise for sale includes shirts, hats, pins, and travel essentials such as flashlights, matches, bandages, sunscreen, and more.
They will also be screening informative and educational travel shows like Sheridan County Travel and Tourism’s “the Backyard” and the Wyoming Office of Tourism’s “Howdy Neighbor.”
The center closed in 2012 due to budget issues and staffing problems.
It briefly reopened in 2019.

I would of ran it for nothing
Sure don’t think galatians should be running our campgrounds. They are the people of wyoming.
