Johnson County Accepts USFS Grant for Law Enforcement Services
Johnson County and the US Forest Service/Bighorn National Forest have entered into a cooperative agreement for the sheriff’s office to provide law enforcement services on the Bighorn National Forest.
Sheriff Rod Odenbach said the agreement is the same as last year’s agreement.
He explained what the sheriff’s office does for the Forest Service.
Odenbach said deputies look forward to patrolling the Forest Service roads every summer.
The agreement will have the USFS pay the county $4,000 for the extra law enforcement services.
The county approved the agreement with the US Forest Service.
