Michelena Appointed to Lake DeSmet Advisory Board

An opening on the Lake DeSmet Advisory Board was filled by the Johnson County Commission during their recent meeting.

Commission Chairman Bill Novotny announced the person up for the appointment.

According to the board’s bylaws, the purpose of the board is to advise the county commission through the Lake DeSmet Operating Department, in the management and administration of the Lake DeSmet Reservoir; to research, strategize, and propose solutions regarding management, maintenance, and marketing of Lake DeSmet.

Kevin Michelena will serve a two-year term on the board.
