Mayor of Sheridan Rich Bridger addressed the potholes that have developed on the city’s streets during an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program.

Mayor R. Bridger

Streets Superintendent Mike Kuzara told Sheridan Media News, crews are already repairing the potholes that can be repaired during this time of year.

Potholes must be dry to be repaired. With the winter weather continuing into the spring this year, street crews fill what they can when they can. The amount of snow relocated by the street crews is nearly three times the yearly average.

We have all noticed the pothole issues in this city. A few weeks ago I read an article which told us to report location of potholes. I entered the site and it asked a large number of questions about profession, education , etc…I thought I don’t feel that these questions and prying into my background in order to report a pothole is any of the city’s business.

The city won’t do anything. All they do is fill them with tailings, which wash right out and don’t fix it. This city is too concerned with how much money to waste trying to get more people from California to move here rather than do what they’re supposed to do and take care of our existing infrastructure. When was the last time the city reconstructed a street that wasn’t a state highway? Anyone drive down Thurmond or any neighborhood nearby recently? Sheridan Ave.? Kentucky? Lewis? Highland? Streets are worse than the Oregon Trail, but don’t worry, that $200,000 they spent just to have somebody tell them they could put some plants on the street near the courthouse I’m sure wasn’t a waste, nor the latest idea to build another business park to sit empty for 10 years is not a waste. How about the COS do their jobs rather than try to waste as much money as possible on stupid concept plats and pandering to California people to come turn Sheridan into Jackson?

Maybe you should be working around with that in stead of messing with main street and also fix the streets that need fixed and not the ones that don’t
