Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Feb. 26, 1920.

It became known today that a soviet, fully organized and functioning in accordance with true soviet principles and applying the doctrine of communism, was operating in the Sheridan county jail.

A double wedding took place in Billings today when Miss Maud Skinner became the bride of Mr. Herman Langheldt, and Miss Edith Manlove became the bride of Mr. Fred Skinner. Miss Skinner and Mr. Skinner are the children of Big Horn residents, and Miss Manlove is the daughter of a Sheridan couple.

A temperature of two below zero was recorded in Sheridan this morning, making this the coldest day since Jan. 24 when the temperature was 19 below zero.
