Interim Library Director Announced

The Sheridan County Library Board of Trustees announced that Michelle Havenga will serve as the Interim Library Director for the Sheridan County Library System.  Havenga will be replacing Cameron Duff who will be leaving the library system after 12 ½  years of service. Havenga served as a librarian for over 40 years with the Sheridan County Public Library System before her retirement in August 2021.  Havenga’s appointment will be effective April 3, 2023 and last for up to four months while the Board of Trustees conducts a national search for a permanent library director.

The Board of Trustees, in a media release, thanked Havenga for her willingness to assist the library during the transition period, and added that Havenga has the knowledge and experience necessary to make an immediate positive impact with staff and customers of the library.
