Trail End State Historic Site explores history in the family’s words

The site is the location of the historic Kendrick Manson, built by one of Sheridan’s most influential former residents, John B. Kendrick.
The site was closed for the winter season in December. Trail End State Historic Site will open back up to the public on Saturday, April 1, for seven days a week 1–4 p.m. through May. Beginning in June, the site will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for summer hours.
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Site Superintendent Sharie Shada told listeners about the new exhibit, “If These Walls Could Talk: Personal Stories from Inside the Mansion”, that has been spread throughout the mansion, taking an extensive look at the writings of the Kendrick family.
For those interested in learning how to share this piece of Sheridan history, Shada told listeners the historic site is seeking volunteers to be trained as tour guides.
