Born in south Texas, Dr. Emily Denney relocated here to Sheridan from a rural community in Montana, where she worked for over five years in a primary care practice.

Denney is one of the primary care physicians practicing family medicine at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Primary Care in downtown Sheridan at 61 South Gould St.

According to SMH, the Primary Care practice is the initial point of contact for patients of all ages dealing with non-emergent medical needs. Primary care helps create healthy habits and offers preventative strategies.

An Air Force veteran and a graduate of the University Of North Texas Health Science Center – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, Denney chose family medicine as her focus due to her passion of working with people of all ages. It was her desire to create lasting connections that drew her to the medical profession.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Denney told listeners she discovered her passion for medicine while in college.

According to Denney, she was drawn to Sheridan in part because of her desire to continue working and serving in a small town.

Denney wishes the people of Sheridan to know she loves working with patients to meet health goals. She said she is flexible in how those goals are achieved, and she is always learning new ways of doing things.
