Sheridan Commission Ratifies Permit for Gage System

Published

Sheridan County’s Commissioners have ratified a permit between the county and the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) to encroach on a public right-of-way administered by the Transportation Commission of Wyoming and WYDOT to conduct work on a stream gage unit attached to a bridge structure on Highway 331 near Owl Creek Road.

According to the permit information provided by the county, it allows the county to mount a radar sensor unit and conduit to Structure CUR for stream stage sensing for the county’s Goose Creek Flood Notification Network.

The system is designed to upgrade the existing bubbler-type stream gage to a radar sensing unit, and will be installed on a bridge rail on top of the curb and side of the bridge deck.
