State Senator Dave Kinskey (R-Sheridan, Johnson Counties), in his weekly talk with Sheridan Media from the legislative session, gave his thoughts on where the legislature currently sits and what he sees coming in the final couple of weeks.

He said at this point traditionally, there would be some healthy debate on the budget, but with the budget bill passed, that won’t be happening this year.

The last weeks of the session will be what he called “hurry up and wait.”

Kinskey said it’s not the most exciting story, but the legislation is still moving and the process isn’t done until the bills are reconciled between the House and the Senate.

We will have more from our conversation with Senator Dave Kinskey in upcoming stories.
