TAKE3: fusion fueled by passion

TAKE3 will perform at the WYO Theater beginning at 7 p.m. Friday Feb. 10. Ahead of their upcoming appearance, founder of TAKE3, Lindsay Deutsch, spoke on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program.
Deutsch told listeners that her musically talented parents recognized her passion when she was only two years of age. She remembers seeing Itzhak Perlman, widely considered one of the greatest violinists in the world, during his appearance on Sesame Street.
Deutsch spoke on the pressures experienced by many young musical performers to be a perfect classical musician. But with tenacity and her love of music and performing, found herself playing with world renowned Greek composer Yanni, in front of a crowd of thirty-thousand people.
The cheers of the crowd and the freedom to play multiple genres of music laid the foundation of TAKE3. Fueled by her classical training, and sparked by her passion for the violin, Deutsch formed a genre fusing trio. It wasn’t long until what started out as playing free concerts for friends and family, evolved and grew into a fusion of the classical and the modern that filled theaters.
TAKE3 is a trio that brings the refinement of a rigorously trained classical music background and infuses it with rock and pop musical genres, rock-star charisma and comedic stories.
