The City of Sheridan will soon be submitting a grant application for Local Government Project American Rescue Plan Act funds. The City Council at their meeting Monday night approved four separate resolutions that will be submitted to the Wyoming State Loan and Investment Board for consideration of the ARPA grants. City Public Works Director Hanns Mercer said there is $50 million available in the ARPA Chapter 42 funds and the application that the City will submit must have the projects prioritized by order of importance.

The Council ranked the Wastewater Treatment Plant project as number one, the Sheridan County School District Two Career Development Center as number two, the Airport Transmission Main as number three and the Northeast Transmission Main as number four. Councilman Steve Brantz.

In relation to the $7.5 million grant the City will apply for on behalf of School District Two for the proposed Career Development Center on West 5th Street, the Council approved a Memorandum of Agreement between the City and School District Two. City Attorney Brendon Kerns provides the details of the MOA.
