Sheridan Mayor: WYDOT has been a great partner

During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Mayor of Sheridan, Rich Bridger, told listeners the communication between the City and the Wyoming Department of Transportation throughout the planning process of the upcoming Main Street project has been more than satisfactory.
According to the City, the scope of work to be completed includes the resurfacing of 0.56 miles of Main Street from Dow Street to Burkitt Street. The project will be split into three individual sections, with one section being worked on at a time.
The proposed project will include new blended base, new concrete surfacing, selected sidewalk and curb and gutter replacement, Americans with Disabilities Act upgrades to correct existing deficiencies along with upgrades to traffic signal poles and associated infrastructure such as signal cabinets, control boxes, pull boxes, and more.
The City of Sheridan will replace the existing city water transmission, existing sanitary sewer main, and any needed repairs to the existing storm sewer system, and placement or upgrade of various enhancements.
City leadership has been exploring ideas regarding Main Street access and parking in an effort to mitigate the distribution to small businesses in the area.
Join Floyd Whiting at 9 a.m., Monday, Jan. 16, on Public Pulse with The Hub on Smith and the Downtown Sheridan Association, who will announce an upcoming meeting regarding the Main Street Project.
