Ron RichterWyoming Supreme Court Chief Justice Kate Fox delivered the State of the Judiciary Address to the 67th Legislature Wednesday in Cheyenne. Chief Justice Fox said the safety of judges and their families is an issue of increasing concern in Wyoming and around the country.
Fox said our traditional criminal and juvenile justice framework is probably the most expensive and least effective way to address those afflictions and we need to find better solutions. Fox added that she very much appreciates Governor Mark Gordon’s recognition of the behavioral health challenges facing Wyoming and she looks forward to further collaboration with both the executive and the legislative branches to tackle those challenges.
