Pat BlairA manufacturing expo featuring a showcase of products and services is set for noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 29 – a Saturday – in Sheridan College’s Whitney Center Atrium.
The event is open to the public and is hosted by EMIT Technologies of Sheridan. Michelle Butler, who’s EMIT’s vice president of talent and communications, explained what the expo is about.
Butler said EMIT is part of the New West Manufacturing Partnership, which is an industry-led cohort of manufacturing companies. She said throughout the day during the expo, the different partners in New West will have booths showcasing the products and services that they provide.
Starting at 12:30 p.m., she said, there will be three keynote speakers. Casey D. Osborn, EMIT CEO, will be the first, talking about manufacturing tools and automation.
The third speaker will be P.J. Treide, owner of Big Horn Design Studio, who will talk about brand identity.
Butler said the expo is open to anyone who wants to attend, and EMIT anticipates that attendees will include business owners, company presidents and CEOs, business development managers, marketing coordinators, students, educators and front-line employees of the manufacturing operations throughout Sheridan and Johnson counties, among others.
