Start-Up Challenge winners making strides

Winners of the 2022 Sheridan Start-Up Challenge, Megan Welles, creator of HorseWell and Louisa Crosby, founder of Gannett Health, are already making strides in their businesses only a little more than a month after the challenge.
As winners, Crosby and Welles each received a $5,000 cash award and are eligible for additional startup capital in early 2023 from the balance of the $100,000 Challenge seed funds.
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Welles, said she has received orders for her product, HorseWell, a myofascial blade designed for horse massage that can be used by horse owners to treat muscle soreness in horses. Utilizing a portion of her winnings, Welles has developed a website and is looking to expand into large retail stores.
Crosby developed Gannett Health, a mobile, advocacy-based, direct primary care medical practice, focusing on prevention and access for patients locally and across underserved areas of Wyoming. She told listeners that a few clients have reached out since the Challenge.
