Water Main Replacement Project

Design work may soon begin for a City of Sheridan water main replacement project. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
A bid award for design of the Terra Turner Water Main Replacement Project will be an item of consideration at an upcoming Sheridan City Council meeting. City Public Works Director Hanns Mercer explains the scope of the design project.
Mercer said the Request for Proposals was advertised on November 8 and 15, and proposals were due on November 23. The City received six bids and Mercer said they are recommending that the Council award the bid to DOWL in the amount of $52,270. The City Council is expected to consider the bid at an upcoming business meeting. The Council will also be considering a resolution authorizing the City to submit a loan application to the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund program in the amount of $2 million to fund the water main replacement project.
