Ron RichterU.S. Senator Mike Enzi of Wyoming recently introduced bipartisan legislation that is intended to strengthen federal financial management by updating the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990. The CFO Act created a new foundation for federal financial management and established a fiscal management reporting and leadership structure. Senator Enzi spoke on the Senate floor about the “Chief Financial Officer Vision Act of 2020.”
Enzi said that the legislation will lead to better financial and performance data and increase accountability in government programs and operations. The Senator added that it will help improve government-wide financial management and ensure taxpayer dollars are safeguarded.
