JCHC Clinic Sees Lower Numbers of Patients
The Family Medical Center Clinic at the Johnson County Healthcare Center has seen fewer numbers of patients in the last few months, according to discussions during the latest hospital board meeting.
Board President Dr. Mark Schueler asked clinic director Miranda Camino about the lower number of patients in the clinic as compared to last year.
She said she wasn’t sure why they were down roughly 200 visits from last year, citing different possibilities for the downturn in numbers.
CEO Luke Senden gave his thoughts on why they were down.
Senden also said August numbers were the highest so far since January and there appears to be an upward trend in clinic visits.
He said the idea of bringing in another full-time ER doctor, which they have done, was to stabilize the ER schedule and let the clinic doctors concentrate their efforts there.
