The City of Sheridan and the Wyoming Department of Transportation will be holding a community information meeting regarding the upcoming Main Street reconstruction project planned for Spring of 2023.
The informational meeting will be 5 – 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, on the 2nd floor of ERA Carroll Realty in the Conference Room.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Dixie Johnson announced the meeting and invited the public to attend.
Johnson also spoke on the Chamber’s role within the downtown area during the upcoming construction.
According to the City, the scope of the project will include resurfacing of 0.56 miles of Main Street from Dow Street to Burkitt St. The Wyoming Department of Transportation project will include a new blended base, new concrete surfacing, selected sidewalk and curb and gutter replacement, American with Disabilities Act upgrades to correct existing deficiencies along with upgrades to traffic signal poles and associated infrastructure such as signal cabinets, control boxes, pull boxes, etc.
While WYDOT removes old road surfaces, the City of Sheridan will replace the existing water transmission, sanitary sewer main, and any needed repairs to the existing storm sewer system, as well as placement or upgrades of various enhancements.
