Cemetery District Board Appoints Temporary Member

The Johnson County Cemetery District Board, during their regular September meeting Tuesday, voted to appoint a temporary board member that will serve until after the November election and the new member is voted in by the public.

According to discussions at the meeting, the board had received two letters of interest to serve the temporary position, and the board chose to approve Dave Moate to serve.

Board members John Ehlers and John Zorbas reiterated it was a temporary appointment.

The board voted unanimously to appoint Moate and he was sworn in.
