Change of Plea Hearing Held for Sheridan Woman Charged With Meth Distribution
A Change of Plea Hearing was held in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan Thursday for 37-year-old Brie Biggs of Sheridan. Pursuant to terms of a plea agreement reached with the State, Biggs pleaded “guilty” to three counts of Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine. The plea deal recommends a sentence of 3 to 5 years in prison for each count, suspended in lieu of three years of supervised probation. The State is also recommending that the sentences run concurrent to one another.
District Court Judge John Fenn ordered that a presentence investigation be completed and set the date for sentencing for April 2 at 11 am. According to court documents, Biggs was arrested last year on September 19 and charged with the three felonies for obtaining and distributing methamphetamine in the Sheridan area. The arrest was the result of an investigation by local law enforcement and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation into a group of individuals who were involved in selling methamphetamine in Sheridan.
