Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Feb. 10, 1920.

A success greater than even the promoters anticipated marked the opening night of the Good Roads Fair, which was attended by a festive throng bent on enjoying to the fullest the many carnival attractions that the fair afforded.

The anti-shimmying ordinance passed a recessed meeting of the city council yesterday afternoon. The ordinance makes it a misdemeanor to dance in an “indecent or vulgar” manner, punishable by a fine of up to $100.

Ralph Shreeve, a stockman living on Deer Creek 30 miles north of Sheridan has bought a new Patriot Truck of the Lincoln model from the Tompkins-Skinner company.
