Sheridan Commission OKs NOI to Vacate Public Right-of-Way

The Sheridan County Commission has voted to publish a Notice of Intent (NOI) to vacate the public right-of way known as Yonkee Avenue between Blocks 40 and 45 in the Downers Addition in Sheridan County.

County Engineer Ken Muller was appointed by the commission to act as the viewer in the matter, and his report to the commission recommended vacation of the unused piece of the right-of-way, which contains no utilities or will not benefit the county if it is kept.

Commissioner Nick Siddle explained his reasoning to vote for vacating the right-of-way.

The commission voted unanimously to publish the NOI.
