Sheridan County’s Commissioners have ratified a letter to the Wyoming Department of Transportation asking for consideration for Commission Road Improvement Program (CRIP) funding for an improvement project on County Road #139, also known as East Ridge Road.

According to the letter, East Ridge Road is classified as a major collector that has considerable volume of heavy truck traffic from the industrial business nature of the area and being the route to the City of Sheridan’s solid waste facility.

The CRIP program, according to the letter, has a local match funding requirement plus a possible road exchange as part of the agreement.

The county offered State Highway 341, the Arvada Spur, as a candidate for the exchange.

The county is seeking discussions and negotiations between themselves and WYDOT concerning County Road #139.
