Man Arrested After Buffalo City Council Meeting

Published

on

A man who attended Buffalo’s City Council meeting Tuesday night was arrested after the meeting in front of City Hall for his behavior and transported to the Criminal Justice Center to be processed.

A man who gave his name only as “Mr. Waits” spoke to the council during the Oral/Written Comment section of the agenda, saying he was upset because of the price of gasoline and the taxpayers paying for police officers driving on patrol, and alleging that officers were using city vehicles for personal use.

He asked the council why they were allowing this to happen and suggested they do something about it, getting more agitated the longer the discussion went on.

Finally, Mayor Shane Schrader spoke to Mr. Waits about him becoming agitated.

Waits became even more agitated when Police Chief Sean Bissett tried to talk to him.

The conversation moved outside with Schrader, Bissett and Waits involved in the discussion, which escalated to the point that Waits was finally arrested.

We will have information on the charges and more, once the information is available from the Buffalo Police Department.

Dont blame the police for the high gas prices. That responsibility belongs solely to the occupant of the whitehouse.

R U serous? The President is doing everything he can to lower prices. The greed of the oil and gas tycoons is who you should be blaming.

Are you daft? It isn’t the cops or Joe Biden. What is Biden responsible for high gas prices in Australia too? Your views are myopic and foolish. I am also a Wyoming resident and republican, but that doesn’t mean I will rattle off Fox News rhetoric. Think for yourself, and get the facts.

Maybe you should pay attention to what biden was saying during the 2020 debates, carl. Or perhaps that he suspended oil and gas leases with his many EOs. Does this administration NOT want to transition to a green energy economy like Australia? When was the last oil refinery built in the US? Oil companies have asked themselves why they should spend millions of dollars to build oil refineries/facilities if this administration is bent on green energy. These are the facts carl, and gas prices were going up before the putin invasion so that dog wont hunt. I was born in WY, but Im NOT a repub. I do know how to look up facts, and learned to think for myself years ago. P.S., I dont listen to FOX news, but youre free to stereotype.

Biden is he only President to raise the price on leases for many years. Maybe your facts are missing a few important considerations.

Thank you MSNBC. We were energy independent till biden showed up. Dems try to deny that but it is fact. Its not Putin, greed, Ukraine or the tooth fairy–its BIDEN. Dishonest people refuse to admit it but Americans know–Biden 36% approval, 51% think he is incompetent, 85% think the country is on the wrong path. Stop with the’its a global thing”> no one is drinking your Kool-Aid
