The Sheridan County Commission has approved a Resolution to place a proposition on the November general election ballot that will give voters the opportunity to continue the Optional One-Cent Sales/Use Tax for another four years.

County Administrative Director Renee Obermueller said the city and towns within Sheridan County have all lent support for the proposition and will all be passing their own Resolutions of support.

Commissioners Christi Haswell and Lonnie Wright both spoke in favor of the tax and the many projects it has funded.

The proposition, if passed, would put the sales/use tax in effect from from July 2023 through June 2027.
