Aaron PalmerThe Board of Trustees for the Johnson County School District voted to withdraw from the current Board of Cooperative Higher Education Services, or BOCHES agreement and to enter into another agreement with Sheridan College.
The previous agreement included Gillette College as well, but with that institution forming their own community college district, this new agreement was necessary, according to JCSD1 Superintendent Charles Auzqui.
The Resolution adopted by the school board states that “the district has determined that the interests of the district compel withdrawal from the BOCHES agreement and enter into a new agreement with other entities in Sheridan or Johnson Counties.”
The agreement further states that district administrators shall work with the other entities to form a new agreement.
