Buffalo Council Lifts Liquor License Moratorium

The Buffalo City Council has lifted the moratorium on new liquor licenses in the city, which they enacted at an earlier meeting in May.

Councilman Wes Haskins explained his concern during that meeting.

The concern was over new laws passed by the state legislature which prompted the moratorium until the council could discuss the matter with the Wyoming Liquor Division and understand the new laws and how to apply them at the local level.

The council voted during the May 3 meeting to put the moratorium in place, and then lifted it at their meeting May 17.
