Ringley talks on salary increases

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse Program, Sheridan County Commissioner Tom Ringely spoke on the budgeting process.
Ringley told listeners that his “hat is off” to the elected officials and department heads at the county, saying they “held the line” and did not approach the commission with “pie in the sky” requests regarding funding.
Ringley also commented on the recent increases to salaries within the county.
According to discussions at the meeting regarding the pay increases held in April, the elected officials have not had an increase in pay since 2014.
The discussions at that meeting set the salaries for the county clerk, treasurer, assessor, and clerk of district court at $87,150 per year; the county coroner at $34,350 per year; and the county commissioners with no change, remaining at $33,900 per year. They also set the sheriff’s salary at $91,400 per year; and the county and prosecuting attorney at $115,450 per year.
