The Wyoming Archaeological Society will hold their 2022 Spring Meeting here in Sheridan.
According to members Christine Varah and Christen Campbell the society’s mission is to promote and disseminate archaeological knowledge and understanding to the citizens of Wyoming and to preserve, protect, and respect archaeological material and sites.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Varah told listeners that the Spring Meeting is not just for professional archeologists, but for everyone who wishes to learn and take part in the study of the past.
The meeting will take place April 29–May 1, at the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Sheridan Hotel & Convention Center.
On April 29, opening day, The Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office will sponsor a free workshop on Historic Preservation. Topics will include: Tax Credits, learn how the Tax Incentive Program encourages private investment in the rehabilitation of historic buildings and more. Varah told listeners a little more about the free workshop and how the general public can take advantage of the event.
Registration is required to take part in the event. Fees and registration can be completed by clicking here.
