A lottery will take place at Monday night’s Sheridan City Council meeting to determine the applicant that will receive the City’s retail liquor license. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Last year the City of Sheridan received an additional retail liquor license due to a population increase that was reported in the 2020 Census. A committee was formed last fall made up of Sheridan City Councilors Jacob Martin, Steve Brantz and Shawn Day. The committee was tasked with developing criteria and guidelines for vetting the applicants for the additional license.
City Attorney Brendon Kerns at this week’s Council study session provided a recap and status update on the process of awarding the license.

The top six that the committee selected are Ice Hause, Moose Knuckle Saloon, Historic Cady, Spruce, Las Delicias and Main Choice Cocktails. The license will be awarded Monday night at Council’s regularly scheduled business meeting during a lottery type draw of all six of the applicants.
