Sheridan County OKs Bobcat Estates Preliminary Plat

The Sheridan County Commission has approved a preliminary plat for the proposed Bobcat Estates Subdivision south of Sheridan.
County Planner Mark Reid gave the commission the details on the application at their recent meeting.
The variance for the public street dedication was filed to place gates at either end of the main street within the community, to keep the road from becoming a thoroughfare, according to representatives of developer BH Bobcat,LLC.
Concerns over emergency responder access to the community were raised, but police, fire, ambulance, and others would have emergency codes for access if needed, similar to other gated communities in the area, according to discussions.
The commission voted to approve the variance and then approved the preliminary plat.
