The State of Wyoming notified the Johnson County Commission they were extending Emergency Rental Assistance Program, or ERAP, funding through the end of April.

An agreement was sent for the commission to discuss and sign, which they did at their last meeting.

The funding is designed to help with those in the county that have had problems paying rent, utilities or internet services due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The county partnered with the Family Crisis Center for distribution of funds.

The program is designed to go to the property owner to pay rent or utilities, as opposed to the renter who may have fallen behind with those expenses, according to previous discussions.
