JCHC Receives Clean Audit

The Johnson County Healthcare Center has received a clean financial audit report for their 2021 fiscal year.

During their meeting Thursday, the hospital board was given the report from Kyle Mercer from Cloud Peak Accounting.

Mercer further explained that the clean opinion is the best assurance they can give.

Katharine Leavitt, also with Cloud Peak, spoke on internal control systems, which she reviewed during the process.

She found some minor procedural issues that didn’t affect the financial audit but needed to be brought to the attention of the healthcare center.

The board voted to approve the audit report, including a minor change in the wording in the report to be performed by the auditors.
