Welcome to the Weekend Sports Wrap Podcast! This week James starts the show by addressing the news of O.J. Simpson’s death and talks about what the approach should be when talking about him, how do we do it respectfully while honest? Then after that, in an awkward transition, it’s NBA playoffs time! James previews the first-round matchups and the play-in games in what could be possibly one of the more volatile playoffs we’ve seen. Remember to rate and follow!

OJ was a murderer and a pos, everyone knows that. The jury admitted letting him go because of King on a documentar.

I by no means disagree with that sentiment, and the first line in any report regarding O.J. whether it be his death or anything else should and more than likely will include the dismissal of two seemingly very obvious murder charges. However, it would be remiss to not include the impact that O.J. had in terms of sports and even pop culture coming through the 70’s and 80’s, he was maybe the biggest sports star of all time in terms of transcending the sport that he was made famous for playing. The juxtaposition from that to double murderer is incredibly interesting and something we will maybe never see again.
