Ron RichterU.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming has introduced legislation aimed at reinstating the right of adults between the ages of 18 and 20 years of age to purchase a handgun from a federally licensed dealer. Senator Lummis says the Second Amendment Mandates Equality Act of 2021 would repeal a law that currently prevents adults under 21 years of age from buying a handgun.
The SAME Act is supported by Gun Owners of America and the National Association for Gun Rights.

I like it. if they are asked to serve in our military, they should be able to own a handgun.

It is sad this is her top priority. Getting more guns in people’s hands. Is she completely oblivious to the very serious problem this country has with gun violence? She really needs to get her priorities in line. But I suppose we should expect this from an un-apologetic insurrectionist.

She’s not interested in the health of the US, or US Democracy. Cynical playing to chest thumping gun advocates in order to stay connected to big money, power and status. If more guns in the hands of immature humans without the structure of training and supervision by being in the armed forces would make things better, the country would have already be safer. She’s a shallow grubber for power. Said nothing when there was an attempt to thwart a legitimate, democratic election. Not worth taking seriously in real matters of governing.

Heck while you’re at it, drop the drinking age to 18 as well. We might as well do Stupid all the way.
