A Look Back in Time: Aug. 10, 1920

Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Aug. 10, 1920.

Work upon Ramsey Hill, one of the most difficult pieces of construction the forestry department is doing on the Dayton-Woodrock road, is expected to be far enough advanced by Saturday that traffic will be allowed to pass over the highway.

Before a crowd that jammed Sheridan’s Orpheum Theatre to capacity last night, Clarence Eklund of Peckville defeated “Billy” Edwards of Nebraska City, Neb., to win heavyweight division wrestling honors.

Mrs. U. A. C. Thomas, wife of County Sheriff Thomas, has returned from Rochester, Minn., where she underwent a slight operation.
