Fabric Show and Workshops to be Held at CHG

Anyone interested in viewing local fabric and fiber handwork, or to learn how to do handwork with fabric are encouraged to visit the Clearmont Historical Center during the month of October.

Crafters who specialize in the fabric arts are encouraged to bring their creations to the Center during the month of October. There will be several hands on workshops and demonstrations throughout the month. More will be listed as they are confirmed.

There will be two workshops on Saturday, October 17 – at 11:00, will be Hand Applique by Donna Weeden. No supplies needed. Following at 1 p.m. will be Crayon Coloring on Fabric by Sheila Sikkenga. It is suggested to those wishing to participate bring a small embroidery hoop and needles, crayons if you have them. Some supplies will be provided.

On Thursday, October 22 beginning at 2:00 p.m., there will be Needle Punch & Rug Hooking demonstration by Julie Weber and on Saturday, October 24 at 10:00 a.m., Jackie Vitale will present Tunisian Crochet. No supplies needed.

Center hours during October are 10-2 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The Clearmont Historical Center is located on Main Street in Clearmont. There is a small museum, and there are special events throughout the year.

All are welcome to attend, and the demonstrations and workshops are free.
