Clearmont Town Council Met Monday
The Clearmont Town Council met on Monday, February 17, with several items on the agenda.
Mayor Chris Schock reported on the traveling clerk that WAM (Wyoming Association of Municipalities) is offering to municipalities,
He said he also talked to rural development people about community grants and a grant to pay for painting the inside of the town’s watertank, “We will explore that further when the weather warms up,” Schock said.
He said the WAM Conference will be in June, and he wanted to get an idea of which council members are planning to attend so he can book the rooms. Schock added he went to a meeting about attainable housing, it was interesting, he said, but it didn’t really apply to small towns like Clearmont.
He talked about direct distribution,
Schock will meet with a land developer on March 3, and added there will be an upcoming town Election for the mayor and two council members
He gave an update on Water Well #3,
Cynthia Vannoy told the council that a new business is coming to Clearmont. The owner, Sabrina Rhoades, said that The Milliron Market will offer delicatessen style breakfast and lunch with an indoor farmer’s market featuring local vendors as well as select retail items. Rhoades will keep the council updated on the progress of the new business.
Councilman Ernie Miller reported on the FFA Dance, and said there was a great turnout, and it was a good family event.
The council agreed to donate $500 to the Clearmont Day Celebration.

Amy Rowe, chairman of the Clearmont Day Committee, was at the meeting and talked about the upcoming event.
The council also voted to authorize the election office to use the Clearmont Town Hall for voting for the next two years.
Next meeting will be Monday, March 16 at 6 p.m.
