City Officials Discuss Fire Engine Purchase

Officials with the City of Sheridan will soon be considering the purchase of a new engine for Sheridan Fire-Rescue. City Fleet and Administrative Coordinator Heather Czaplinski says that staff is recommending the City Council and Mayor Rich Bridger approve the purchase of a Pierce Enforcer Rescue Engine from Front Range Fire Apparatus for the amount of $1.17 million.

Czaplinski said the new engine will replace a 2009 Spartan Engine, with over 7,600 hours and 81,000 plus miles. The old  engine will be surplused through the proper channels. The City Council is expected to consider  the purchase at their next regularly scheduled business meeting, Monday, January 5.
