Sheridan Media reporter Pat Blair looks back in time, over 100 years ago, to the impact of Spanish influenza as reported in the pages of the Sheridan Enterprise in 1918.

Mrs. Clara M. Kackley of 340 Sherman avenue, together with the help of Miss Martha Murray, has been nursing a patient for over a month with the Spanish flu. The patient, Miss Florence Murray, after being taken with a light attack of the disease, went too soon to nursing other patients. A week ago, she was taken to the county hospital. She is today, Nov. 23, reported to be somewhat better, but is still a long way from being well.

The Congregational church will reopen tomorrow for two important services, but the Sabbath school will not meet until the first Sunday after public schools reopen.

To avoid every possible danger from the influenza epidemic, there will be no public services in the Presbyterian church tomorrow.
